Startmate Summer ’24 Cohort

Carbonaught Joins Startmate Summer ’24 Cohort

In a time when food security and scalable, practical solutions are proving ever harder to deliver, Carbonaught has been chosen for the Summer 2024 cohort of Startmate—Australia and New Zealand’s most selective accelerator. With only the top 10% of applicants making the cut, the Startmate community of selectors recognised Carbonaught’s  ability to face and overcome these challenges

At the heart of Carbonaught’s approach lies the Carbonaught Protocol™, a  rethink of agricultural inputs that replaces synthetic fertilisers in a process that reduces emissions, cuts costs, and revitalises soil health. Speaking about the selection, Carbonaught co-founder Andrew Pedley underscored the significance of the moment:

“Being part of Startmate is a big step for us. Food security and sustainable farming practices are some of the hardest problems to solve at scale, and it’s heartening to see the Startmate selectors saw the potential of our protocol to deliver where it matters most—in the fields, on the ground, and in global markets.”

Startmate has built its reputation on identifying companies with the grit and ambition to solve pressing problems, and Carbonaught’s inclusion is a positive signal of its ability to pair innovation with execution.

As the company prepares to collaborate with Startmate’s mentors, investors, and alumni network, this milestone adds weight to Carbonaught’s growing role in addressing one of the defining challenges of our time: how to feed the world sustainably while delivering real returns for those who make it possible.
